Flavor profile

Earthy · Creamy · Roast · Sweet

The San Agustín is the longer 6.25 x 52 Toro in Plasencia's Cosecha 146 line. Like every vitola in the series it's made entirely from Criollo '98 tobacco grown on the family's Honduran and Nicaraguan farms during the 2011–12 harvest and aged for years before rolling — a true single-crop cigar.

What it tastes like

The slimmer, longer Toro burns cool and even, showing off the line's smooth, balanced character. Expect cedar and earth, toasted nuts, a gentle coffee note and a thread of sweet spice, all carried by the Honduran Jamastrán wrapper. It stays medium-bodied from start to finish — flavorful and refined rather than powerful, and easy to enjoy over a relaxed hour.

Who it's for

A dependable everyday cigar for smokers who like a longer, mellow Toro, and an approachable option for beginners moving past mild sticks. Coffee, rum or red wine all pair nicely. As a Honduran-Nicaraguan blend it bridges two traditions — see Cuban vs Nicaraguan cigars for one side of it. Don't have a humidor yet? Read how to store cigars without a humidor. Rate it and keep notes in the Casa DNC app, or try the shorter La Vega.
