The Don Carlos Personal Reserve is a five-inch, 50-ring robusto built from the kind of hand-selected, extra-aged tobaccos the Fuente family reserves for special blends — leaf aged a minimum of ten years before rolling. It represents Don Carlos at its most polished.
What it tastes like
The long aging shows in the smoothness. The Cameroon wrapper gives cedar, espresso, and leather, with cocoa depth and a refined sweet-spice finish. It's medium-to-full bodied, exceptionally balanced, and rounder than the standard Don Carlos Robusto — the extra time in the tobacco sands off any rough edges.
