The Don Carlos Robusto puts the line's prized vintage blend into the format most modern smokers reach for first — a five-and-a-quarter-inch, 50-ring robusto. It's a favorite for good reason.

What it tastes like

The aged Cameroon wrapper brings cedar, coffee, and cocoa, with leather depth and a well-judged black-pepper spice. The robusto vitola hits a sweet spot of wrapper and filler that makes the medium-to-full body feel rich yet effortless. It's polished from light to nub, a showcase of the consistency Carlos Fuente Jr. built the brand on.

Who it's for

A standout for experienced smokers who want a flavorful, refined cigar in a manageable hour-or-so smoke. It's a step up in body from the Hemingway line, so it suits palates that have moved past mild and medium sticks. Pair it with espresso, bourbon, or an aged rum.

If you prefer a slimmer shape with the same tobacco, look at the No. 3; for a tapered head, the No. 2 torpedo. Our cigar strength guide puts "medium-full" in perspective. Rate it and stock your humidor in the Casa DNC app.
