Flavor profile

Spice · Roast · Earthy · Sweet

Named for Nestor Plasencia, the family's master grower, the Nestor IV is the box-pressed Toro in the ultra-premium Alma Fuerte line. Like the rest of the series it's a Nicaraguan puro drawn from tobaccos aged for more than a decade, here under a darker Jalapa-grown wrapper.

What it tastes like

This is the fuller end of the line. The first puffs bring crushed black pepper that settles into roasted coffee, leather and oak, with a cocoa sweetness underneath that keeps it from turning harsh. The box press gives a firm, even draw and a long finish. It's full-bodied without being a nicotine bomb — rich and meaty rather than aggressive.

Who it's for

Aimed squarely at experienced smokers who want power with polish. If you're newer to cigars, start lighter and work up; this one rewards a developed palate and a slow pace after a meal. As a single-origin Nicaraguan, it's a textbook example of the country's bolder style — compare it to Havana in Cuban vs Nicaraguan cigars. For more on what "full" means, see the cigar strength guide. Track it and rate it in the Casa DNC app.
