Plasencia Alma del Fuego Concepción

The Concepción is the 6 x 54 Toro in Alma del Fuego, Plasencia's strongest branded line. It's a Nicaraguan puro built largely from volcanic Ometepe tobacco — about three-quarters of the blend — aged roughly seven years before rolling, under a Jalapa-grown wrapper. The Toro size gives that intensity more room to stretch out.

What it tastes like

Full-bodied from the first puff. Look for black pepper and espresso up front, a deep earthy backbone, and leather and cedar as it develops, all carried by the mineral character the Ometepe leaf is known for. It's bold and rich, but the Plasencias keep it balanced so the strength never turns harsh. Plan for a slow hour and a half.

Who it's for

A power smoke for experienced aficionados who want flavor to match the punch. Eat beforehand and take your time; it's far too much for a first cigar.
