The Epicure is the toro in Perdomo's Reserve 10th Anniversary Box-Pressed Sun Grown line, a box-pressed 6 x 54 that gives the earthy, spicy blend room to stretch out. It is a full Nicaraguan puro, with a sun-grown wrapper aged six years and then 10 more months in bourbon barrels.

What it tastes like

Medium-full and savory-leaning, it opens with cedar and earth, then layers in toasted almond, a touch of oak, and warm baking spice. There is a quiet sweetness underneath from the barrel aging, but this is the more classically Nicaraguan side of Perdomo's anniversary lineup. The longer toro lets the spice settle into a comfortable, warming groove.
