The Sun Grown is the spicier sibling in Perdomo's Reserve 10th Anniversary Box-Pressed line. Where the maduro goes sweet, this 5 x 54 box-pressed Robusto leans earthy and savory. It is a Nicaraguan puro under a six-year-aged sun-grown wrapper that gets an extra 10 months in old bourbon barrels.

What it tastes like

This is a medium-full smoke with a spicy-sweet character: cedar and earth lead, with toasted almond, baking spice, and a hint of caramel sweetness from the barrel aging. The sun-grown wrapper gives it more of a classic Nicaraguan backbone than the creamy Champagne line, but it stays smooth and balanced rather than aggressive.
