The Double Aged 12 Year Vintage is one of Perdomo's most patient cigars. Every leaf is a Nicaraguan puro that spends 10 years bale-aging before the blended cigar rests another two years inside charred white-oak bourbon barrels — hence "double aged." The Maduro is the richest of the three wrappers. This is the 5 x 56 Robusto.

What it tastes like

This is a polished medium-full smoke that shows what long aging does. Dark chocolate and coffee lead, with sweet baking spice, a touch of oak, and cedar rounding out the finish. All that time in bale and barrel sands down any harshness, so the flavor is deep and concentrated yet remarkably smooth. The slightly thicker 56 ring keeps the smoke cool and even.

Who it's for

It is aimed at experienced smokers who appreciate the polish that aging brings, though its balance keeps it approachable.
