Flavor profile

Creamy · Earthy · Spice

Lot 23 Connecticut is the mellow member of Perdomo's single-farm series. It keeps the Cuban-seed Nicaraguan core from the Lot 23 plot in Estelí but tops it with a five-year-aged Ecuadorian Connecticut-shade wrapper for a lighter, creamier smoke. This is the classic 5 x 50 Robusto.

What it tastes like

This is a mild-to-medium cigar that leans smooth and creamy. The pale Connecticut wrapper brings cream and soft cedar up front, with toasted almond, a little hay, and a gentle white-pepper note on the finish. It is noticeably lighter than the sun-grown and maduro versions of Lot 23, which makes it a good morning or early-day cigar. The long aging keeps everything calm and even.

Who it's for

It is an excellent beginner cigar and a go-to when you want something easy. Because the wrapper is Ecuadorian rather than Nicaraguan, it smokes lighter than most Perdomos — see how a pale leaf changes the experience in our maduro vs Connecticut guide. The Sun Grown is the same size with more spice, and there are more Perdomo cigars to explore.

Pair it with a creamy coffee in the morning, then log it in the Casa DNC app.
