Flavor profile

Lot 23 is named for one of Perdomo's prized farms near their factory in Estelí, and the Sun Grown is the original, natural-wrapper version. It is a Nicaraguan puro grown on that single plot, with every leaf — wrapper, binder, and filler — aged at least five years before rolling. This Robusto is the classic 5 x 50 size.

What it tastes like

This is a smooth, easygoing medium smoke. The sun-grown wrapper brings cedar and toasted nuts up front, then earth, a little leather, and a gentle black-pepper spice on the finish. It is not a powerhouse — the long aging keeps everything rounded and mellow — which is exactly why it works as a daily cigar. If you are placing it on the spectrum, our cigar strength guide helps.

Who it's for

Lot 23 is a great value introduction to real Nicaraguan tobacco, friendly for newer smokers but satisfying enough to keep around. To see how Nicaragua's style differs from Cuba's, read our Cuban vs Nicaraguan comparison, and check the Maduro version for a sweeter wrapper. There are more Perdomo cigars too.

Pair it with coffee or a pale ale, then log it in the Casa DNC app.
