Flavor profile

Creamy · Sweet · Earthy

The Connecticut is the smooth, mellow version of Perdomo's heavily aged Double Aged 12 Year Vintage. It carries the same patient aging as the rest of the line — 10 years in bales, two more in charred bourbon barrels — but under a silky Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper for a much lighter experience. This is the 5 x 56 Robusto.

What it tastes like

This is a mild-to-medium smoke that leans creamy and a touch sweet. Cream and caramel lead, with cedar, toasted almond, and a rich, buttery finish. The long aging is what sets it apart from cheaper Connecticuts — the smoke is exceptionally smooth and rounded, with a depth you do not usually get from a mild cigar. The 56 ring keeps it cool and easy.

Who it's for

It is a beginner-friendly cigar that still rewards an experienced palate thanks to all that age, making it a fine morning or daytime smoke. Because the wrapper is Ecuadorian rather than Nicaraguan, it sips lighter than most Perdomos — see our maduro vs Connecticut guide. The Maduro Robusto is the same size in a darker wrapper, and there are more Perdomo cigars to browse.

Pair it with a creamy coffee or sparkling wine, then log it in the Casa DNC app.
