New WorldEverydayPadrón 4000 Natural
The natural-wrapper 6.5 x 54 toro from Padrón's everyday Thousand Series — cedar, coffee and toast at a fair price, flawlessly built.
The Padrón 4000 Natural is the sun-grown version of one of the Thousand Series' most popular toros. This is Padrón's everyday, round (non-box-pressed) line — an all-Nicaraguan puro aged at least two-and-a-half years, and a brilliant value introduction to the brand.
What it tastes like
This 6.5 x 54 natural is medium-full and leans woody: cedar and coffee lead, with a bready toastiness, toasted almond, and a clean pepper finish. It's drier and a touch milder in impression than the cocoa-rich maduro version. It doesn't have the depth of the pricier Padrón lines, but it nails the brand's hallmark balance and flawless construction at an everyday price.
Who it's for
A great daily cigar and an easy on-ramp to Padrón, especially if you prefer natural wrappers. Try it next to the 4000 Maduro to taste the difference, and see maduro vs Connecticut for the why. Want a step up later? The 1964 Imperial Natural is the same shape in a finer line.
It's an affordable Nicaraguan smoke for the Cuban vs Nicaraguan comparison. Pair it with coffee, and rate it in your humidor with the Casa DNC app.
