The Padrón 1964 Anniversary Imperial in natural is the sun-grown counterpart to the maduro toro — same 6 x 54 box-pressed shape, same all-Nicaraguan tobacco aged four years, but a lighter wrapper that shifts the flavor toward wood and toast.
What it tastes like
Expect cedar and coffee leading the way, with toasted almond, a bready toastiness, and a clean pepper finish. It's medium-full and substantial, but the natural wrapper keeps things a little drier and more classic than the cocoa-rich maduro.
