La Nox — Latin for "the night" — is one of La Flor Dominicana's most striking releases, both in the box and in the smoke. The cigars arrive in black, moon-shaped boxes with a starry sky on the bands inspired by Van Gogh's paintings. It debuted in late 2015 and is offered in a single 6.5 x 50 Toro Extra format, dressed in a nearly black Brazilian maduro wrapper over a Mexican San Andrés binder and Dominican long-fillers.

What it tastes like

This is a full-bodied, after-dark cigar. Expect dark cocoa, clove, and anise layered over a foundation of walnut and cedar, with the Brazilian and San Andrés leaves driving a deep, slightly sweet richness. It is intense but composed — more about brooding depth than raw nicotine. The single-vitola lineup means Litto Gomez tuned this blend for exactly one size.

Who it's for

Aficionados who want a memorable, atmospheric smoke for the end of the day. It pairs naturally with the brand's other dark blends — if you like it, the La Flor Dominicana Chapter One is another bold, oscuro-wrapped LFD worth seeking out. Wondering what those dark wrappers contribute? The Maduro vs Connecticut comparison is a good companion read.

Log La Nox in the Casa DNC app and note how those clove and anise notes settle with a little box age.
