Flavor profile

Sweet · Roast · Spice · Earthy

Chapter One is Litto Gomez taking his signature Chisel and supersizing it into a blocky, box-pressed 6.5 x 58 slab. It is a bold, limited blend: a dark Brazilian Oscuro wrapper over a Connecticut Broadleaf binder and Dominican filler grown on LFD's La Canela farm. The chisel head means you pinch it open rather than cut — a fitting flourish for a cigar this assertive.

What it tastes like

This is a full-bodied, full-flavored smoke. The Oscuro and Broadleaf leaves push dark chocolate, espresso, and earth to the front, with LFD's trademark black pepper and a leathery depth underneath. The thick box-pressed format holds a big bunch of tobacco, so it burns long and stays cool. There is real strength here, but the flavor leads.

Who it's for

Aficionados and Chisel fans who want one of LFD's most dramatic formats. If the flat-headed shape is the draw but you want the everyday version, the La Flor Dominicana Air Bender Chisel is more widely available. For another dark, full-bodied LFD in the same mood, try La Flor Dominicana La Nox.
