The Air Bender Chisel is one of La Flor Dominicana's most decorated everyday smokes, landing on Cigar Aficionado's Top 25 list for 2010 with a 94-point score. It uses the brand's signature chisel head — a flat, woodwind-mouthpiece shape you pinch open instead of cutting — over an Ecuador Habano wrapper and Dominican estate-grown binder and filler that includes some piloto Cubano and Corojo.
What it tastes like
This is a full-bodied cigar that is bold from the first puff: strong and meaty, packed with spice and espresso, with cedar and a nutty sweetness rounding it out and a finish people often compare to a whiskey barrel. The chisel tip spreads the smoke wide across your palate, making the spice pop. It is potent, but more refined and aromatic than the brand's Double Ligero line.
