Menelik takes its name from the legendary Ethiopian ruler Ebna la-Hakim, also known as Menelik I — a figure of ancient power and mystique. Foundation's tribute is a limited, boutique smoke produced at AGANORSA Leaf's (Agricola Ganadera Norteña S.A.) factory in Nicaragua and released in small batches of 1,000 boxes of 12 cigars each. The soft box press gives the Menelik a distinctive square-edged silhouette, and the pigtail cap signals its handcrafted, premium intent. The blend pairs a dark Mexican San Andrés Negro wrapper with a vintage Nicaraguan Corojo '99 binder from Jalapa and fully aged fillers from Condega, Estelí, and Jalapa.
