Ashton · Virgin Sun Grown (VSG)
New WorldExperiencedAshton VSG Wizard
The Ashton VSG Wizard is a full-bodied 6 x 56 Dominican toro under a dark Ecuador Sumatra wrapper, rich with espresso, leather, pepper, and dark chocolate.
Flavor profile
Roast · Earthy · Spice · Sweet
The Ashton VSG Wizard is the thick, gordo-sized toro of the Virgin Sun Grown line, a bold 6 x 56 that maximizes the smoke and the oils. It uses the same powerhouse recipe as the rest of VSG: deeply aged Dominican binder and filler under a dark, oily Ecuador Sumatra wrapper, with the tobaccos aged four to five years before they are rolled.
What it tastes like
The big ring gauge makes this one rich and smooth, with espresso, leather, black pepper, cedar, and a dark-chocolate undertone. Because the wrapper-to-filler ratio shifts in a fatter cigar, the Wizard tends to feel a little rounder and cooler-burning than the slimmer VSG sizes, while still landing firmly in full-bodied territory. It is plush, layered, and built for slow enjoyment.
Who it is for
This is a cigar for experienced smokers who love a thick ring gauge and a lot of body, best after a meal with coffee or a stiff pour. New to 56-ring cigars? The how to cut a cigar guide covers getting a clean opening on a wide cap.
