Flavor profile

Earthy · Spice · Sweet

The OpusX Lost City has one of the best origin stories in cigars. When Andy Garcia filmed scenes for his 2004 movie "The Lost City" at the Fuente family's Chateau de la Fuente, the Fuentes planted a special summer crop of tobacco for the shoot. Garcia suggested they make a cigar from it, and the Lost City was born — with proceeds supporting the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation. The Robusto is five and a quarter inches at a 50 ring gauge.

What it tastes like

It's built on the same legendary OpusX foundation: the proprietary Dominican Rosado wrapper drives a full-bodied smoke with cedar and black pepper, dark chocolate, leather, and a sweet-spice finish. Smokers often note the special-crop tobacco gives it a slightly distinct, rounded character versus standard OpusX, but the power and complexity are unmistakably OpusX.

Who it's for

An aficionado's collectible — full-bodied, scarce, and produced only in tiny annual quantities. It's a special-occasion smoke for serious OpusX fans. Give it an experienced palate and an unhurried hour, paired with an espresso, cognac, or aged rum.

For the core line, the standard OpusX Robusto and PerfecXion No. 2 are the benchmarks. A rare cigar like this rewards careful storage — see how to store cigars. If you land one, log the moment in the Casa DNC app.
