The Añejo Reserva No. 888 is the line's lonsdale — a slender six-and-a-half-inch figurado with a 44 ring gauge and a gently pointed cap. First released in 2014, it brings the cult Añejo blend to a more elegant, slim format. Like the rest of the line, it's aged Hemingway tobacco under a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, finished in cognac barrels.

What it tastes like

The slimmer ring puts more of that dark Broadleaf wrapper in play, so its flavors come through clearly: dark chocolate, espresso, leather, and cedar, with the signature cognac-barrel sweetness. It's medium-to-full bodied and smooth from the long aging, and the lonsdale shape keeps the smoke focused and cool when you go slowly.

Who it's for

An aficionado's pick for those who love both slim vitolas and rich Maduros — and who can track down a box during the brief seasonal release. The flavor is deep but refined. Pair it with an espresso, cognac, or aged rum.

For the more common Añejo sizes, see the No. 46 corona gorda or No. 50 robusto. To understand why this dark leaf smokes so differently from Fuente's Cameroon cigars, read Maduro vs Connecticut. Log your seasonal finds in the Casa DNC app.
