Named for AJ Fernandez's Dorado farm — so called for the golden hue of its soil — this is as pure an expression of one farm's terroir as you'll find in the New World family.

What it tastes like

Opening notes of cedar and cinnamon establish the tone. The Nicaraguan Sun-Grown Habano wrapper gives the Dorado its characteristic warmth and moderate sweetness. By the middle third, roasted coffee and cocoa deepen the profile. The Criollo '98 binder provides structure and keeps the blend from going flat.
