The Drac — as in Dracula — is one of the most sought-after entries in Tatuaje's annual Monster Series, the Halloween-themed limited editions Pete Johnson has been releasing since 2008. It's a 6 3/4 x 52 Torpedo dressed in a dark Ecuadorian Habano Maduro wrapper, released in the tiny quantities that make these cigars collector bait.

What it tastes like

This is a full-bodied figurado built on an Ecuadorian Habano Maduro wrapper over an all-Nicaraguan core. The tapered head concentrates the smoke, leading with cocoa and earth, layering in a firm black-pepper spice, cedar, and leather. It's rich and powerful but balanced, with the long torpedo format giving the flavors room to evolve. Made by the García family at the My Father factory, construction is superb — even burn, clean draw, no surprises.

Who it's for

The full strength, figurado shape, and limited availability make The Drac a cigar for experienced smokers and aficionados — and a fine special-occasion smoke. Cut the tapered head cleanly (our how to cut a cigar guide helps) and pair it with espresso, bourbon, or an aged rum. Compare it to the cigar that started the series, The Frank, and see our Cuban vs Nicaraguan breakdown for context on the Nicaraguan core.
