The Black Label (officially the Seleccion de Cazador Reserva) is Pete Johnson's personal-blend Tatuaje — the bold, full-bodied counterpoint to his brighter lines, built with the García family at the My Father factory in Estelí. The Corona Gorda, at 5 5/8 x 46, is a beautifully proportioned size that shows the blend off well.

What it tastes like

This is a full-strength all-Nicaraguan puro wrapped in a dark Sun-Grown Criollo leaf. Expect a bold black-pepper kick up front that settles into cocoa, earth, and leather, with cedar weaving through. It's powerful and rich but built with the precision the Garcías are known for, so it stays balanced rather than rough. Construction is excellent, with a slow, even burn that rewards an unhurried pace.

Who it's for

This is a cigar for experienced smokers and aficionados — the full body will overwhelm newcomers. Smoke it after a substantial meal with an espresso, bourbon, or aged rum.
