Romeo y Julieta's Nicaraguan puro — a richer, medium-full toro rolled at Plasencia with a double-fermented, long-aged wrapper.
Flavor profile
Earthy · Spice · Sweet · Roast
Eternal is Romeo y Julieta's foray into a full Nicaraguan puro, made for Altadis at the Plasencia factory in Estelí. Every leaf — wrapper, binder, and filler — comes from Nicaragua, with the wrapper double-fermented and aged a couple of years before rolling. It's a noticeable step up in body from the brand's Dominican cigars.
What it tastes like
This is a medium-full smoke with real Nicaraguan character: cedar and cocoa underpin a confident black-pepper spice, with espresso and earthy depth building through the second half. The extra fermentation and aging on the wrapper smooth out the edges, so it's rich without being rough. The 6 by 54 toro draws and burns cleanly over a relaxed hour-plus.
Who it's for
Eternal is aimed at smokers who like Nicaraguan strength and want the Romeo name on something with more punch. It's probably a bit much for a first cigar, but it's a satisfying choice for anyone comfortable with medium-full smokes. If you're weighing Nicaraguan power against Cuban refinement, our Cuban vs Nicaraguan guide lays it out.
Pair it with an espresso or a bourbon and smoke it slowly to keep the spice in check. Track it in the Casa DNC app alongside your other Nicaraguans.
