Flavor profile

Earthy · Sweet · Roast · Spice

The Vintage 1992 takes its name from the harvest year of its Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, aged roughly ten years before rolling. It's one of Rocky Patel's most decorated value smokes, with a 92 rating and a Cigar Aficionado "Best Bargain" award to its name. This is the box-pressed 6.5 x 52 Toro.

What it tastes like

The aged Sumatra wrapper covers a Nicaraguan binder and a Dominican-Nicaraguan filler. It's a smooth, well-rounded medium-full smoke: cedar and cocoa leading, coffee and a hint of caramel sweetness through the middle, and a soft pepper underneath. The box press gives an easy, even draw, and the longer Toro format lets the flavors stretch out and develop.

Who it's for

Ideal for a smoker who wants an hour-plus of polished, layered flavor at a friendly price. It's a strong after-dinner option with coffee, an aged rum, or bourbon. The cigar strength guide helps place it, and Cuban vs Nicaraguan frames the New World style.

Log it in the Casa DNC app and compare it with the shorter Vintage 1992 Robusto or the mellower Vintage 1990 Robusto.
