The Sixty was built to mark Rocky Patel's 60th birthday, and it became one of his most acclaimed modern releases — Cigar Aficionado named the namesake 6 x 60 to its Top 25. It pairs a dark Mexican San Andrés wrapper with all-Nicaraguan binder and filler, aged a minimum of two years, in a box-pressed Gordo.
What it tastes like
San Andrés is famous for dark, rich character, and it leads here: dark chocolate and espresso up front, deep earth, a firm black pepper, and cedar underneath. It's a substantial medium-full smoke — flavorful and a touch sweet, with the smooth, even burn the box press encourages. The big ring gauge keeps it cool and gives the flavors room to spread.
Who it's for
A cigar for someone who enjoys a darker, earthier profile and a longer, leisurely smoke. Pair it with espresso, an aged rum, or a stout. To understand the wrapper that defines it, read Maduro vs Connecticut, and the cigar strength guide helps place it.
Track it in the Casa DNC app and rate it against another San Andrés-wrapped Rocky, the Tabaquero by Hamlet Paredes Toro.
