Ramón Allones Allones No. 2 Edición Limitada 2019

Unveiled at the 2019 Festival del Habano in Havana, the Allones No. 2 Edición Limitada was only the second ever limited-edition release in Ramón Allones' history (following the Allones Extra EL 2011). Presented in a dark green lacquered box of 10 sticks, each cigar was hand-rolled from Cuban tobacco aged a minimum of two years before reaching the torcedor's table.

What it tastes like

The Campanas vitola (5½ × 52) gives this cigar a wide ring gauge that produces a generous, cool draw and thick plumes of smoke from the first third. Expect dark earth and aged leather on the open, followed by a wave of concentrated espresso that deepens through the middle. Dark fruit — dried fig, a hint of raisin — surfaces as the cigar warms, and a persistent black pepper spice anchors the entire profile. The final third is rich, complex, and satisfying without turning harsh.

Limited edition context

Only a small number of these reached the market through authorized Habanos distributors. Unlike regular production "RA" cigars, this one benefits significantly from rest; if you're lucky enough to find aged stock from 2019 or 2020, the leather and dark fruit notes will have integrated beautifully.
