Flavor profile

Sweet · Creamy · Spice · Earthy

Alma Fuerte ("strong soul") is Plasencia's flagship ultra-premium line, built entirely from Nicaraguan tobaccos the family set aside more than a decade before rolling. The Sixto I is its most distinctive vitola: a striking six-sided, box-pressed shape that fans call the "hexagona."

What it tastes like

The Colorado Claro wrapper is aged roughly ten years, and you taste that patience. Expect a smooth, medium-to-full smoke leading with cocoa and toasted almond, then nutmeg, cedar and a clean earthy core. There's spice, but it's polished rather than sharp — this is a refined cigar, not a punchy one. The pressed shape concentrates the smoke and gives the draw a slow, even rhythm.

Who it's for

This is a special-occasion smoke for experienced palates who appreciate aged tobacco and clean construction. Beginners may find it rich; give yourself an hour and an empty stomach. As a single-origin Nicaraguan puro it's a great example of what the country grows — see Cuban vs Nicaraguan cigars for how that compares to Havana. New to "medium-full"? Our cigar strength guide breaks it down. Log and rate it in the Casa DNC app, and if you like the line, try the Generación V.
