The Padrón 1926 Serie No. 40 Natural is the sun-grown version of the toro that put the 1926 line on the map (the maduro won Cigar of the Year in 2004). Same 6.5 x 54 box-pressed format, same premium Nicaraguan tobacco aged at least five years — just a lighter wrapper.

What it tastes like

It's full-bodied, but the natural wrapper steers the flavor toward wood and grain: cedar and coffee lead, with toasted almond, a bready toastiness, and a firm pepper finish. The toro size lets the blend stretch out and reveal its layers slowly. Compared to the cocoa-rich maduro, this is drier and more classic — but every bit as deep, and built with Padrón's signature flawless construction.

Who it's for

For experienced smokers who prefer a tobacco-forward profile to a sweet, dark one. Try it next to the No. 40 Maduro to see how the wrapper changes the blend, and read maduro vs Connecticut for the background.

It's a flagship Nicaraguan smoke for the Cuban vs Nicaraguan comparison. Enjoy it with coffee or cognac, and track it in your humidor with the Casa DNC app.
