The My Father No. 2 is the belicoso in the original line that put the García family's own name on the band. It's a 5.5 x 54 figurado with a tapered, pointed head, dressed in a smooth Ecuadorian Habano Rosado wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler.

What it tastes like

That tapered head concentrates the smoke, so the No. 2 hits a little richer than the straight-sided sizes in the line. From the first draw you get the family's hallmark cedar, layered with a creamy texture, baking spice, cocoa, and a bit of leather. It lands at medium-full — bold and flavorful, with a peppery snap that mellows into balance. The roll is excellent, with a clean burn and the firm draw you'd expect from a García figurado.

Who it's for

The belicoso shape and fuller body make this one best for smokers with a little experience under their belt. If you're new to torpedoes and belicosos, our how to cut a cigar guide covers getting a clean opening on that tapered cap. And since this is pure Estelí tobacco, it's a fun benchmark for our Cuban vs Nicaraguan breakdown.

Smoke it slowly after a meal, then log and rate it in the Casa DNC app.
