New WorldExperiencedMy Father La Promesa Toro
A 6 x 52 Toro from the García family under an Ecuador Habano Oscuro wrapper — well-balanced pepper, leather, oak and cream at medium-full.
La Promesa — "the promise" — is one of the García family's more recent lines, and the Toro at 6 x 52 is its centerpiece. It pairs a dark Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro wrapper with all-Nicaraguan binder and long filler grown on the family's Estelí farms.
What it tastes like
This is a beautifully balanced smoke that shows off the family's blending. Expect peppery spice up front that settles into leather, oak, and a creamy mid-palate, with cedar threading through. It lands at medium-full — flavorful and substantial but smooth and composed, the kind of cigar that rewards a relaxed pace. Construction is excellent, with the even burn and dialed-in draw you expect from this factory.
Who it's for
The fuller body makes this best for smokers who've worked past mild blends and want depth and balance. As a Nicaraguan-grown cigar with a dark Ecuadorian wrapper, it's a useful reference for both our Cuban vs Nicaraguan and Maduro vs Connecticut comparisons.
Enjoy it after a meal with a coffee, then log and rate it in the Casa DNC app to track it in your humidor.
