New WorldEverydayCrowned Heads Juarez Jack Brown
A box-pressed 5 x 56 with a dark Mexican San Andres wrapper, made at Tabacalera Pichardo. The thick, chewy Juarez format — cocoa, pepper, and oak at a value price.
Flavor profile
Sweet · Spice · Earthy
Jack Brown — the false name the outlaw gives the sheriff in "Cocaine Blues" — is the short, thick format in Crowned Heads' value-priced Juarez line. It carries the same box-pressed Mexican San Andres recipe as the rest of the lineup, rolled at Tabacalera Pichardo in Esteli, Nicaragua, over Ecuador Sumatra binder and Nicaraguan-Dominican filler. The size is a stout 5 x 56.
What it tastes like
The fat ring gauge gives this one a chewy, mouth-filling delivery, with plenty of San Andres flavor: dark cocoa, black pepper, oak, and leather over a sweet, earthy base. It runs medium to full and stays smooth thanks to the creamy filler, while the box press keeps the burn slow and even. For a cigar at this price, the flavor is generous.
Who it's for
Jack Brown is an everyday workhorse for smokers who like big, dark, peppery cigars and good value. It pairs nicely with coffee, bourbon, or even a stout. To dig into the dark wrapper, read Maduro vs Connecticut, and for the more polished take on the same San Andres style, try the Jericho Hill OBS.
