Gurkha Heritage Robusto

Gurkha Heritage Robusto — a punchy 5 x 55 from the same Nicaraguan blend as the Toro, delivering concentrated spice and chocolate in a shorter, high-ring-gauge format.

Flavor profile

Spice · Sweet · Roast · Earthy

Same blend as the Heritage Toro, different proportions. The 5 x 55 Robusto is wider than a standard robusto and cuts the length to five inches, which concentrates the spice and dark flavors of the Heritage blend into a more intense, faster-paced smoke.

What it tastes like

Where the Toro has room to build and evolve, the Robusto gets straight to the point. The Ecuadorian Habano wrapper delivers pepper and dark chocolate almost immediately, with the Nicaraguan binder ensuring the body stays medium-full throughout. The Pennsylvanian Broadleaf in the filler adds a grounding earthiness that rounds out what could otherwise be an aggressively spicy profile. Toasted cedar appears in the final third as the oils concentrate near the foot. The 55-ring-gauge draw is easy despite the tight construction — a sign of good rolling at the American Caribbean Tobacco factory in Nicaragua.

Who it's for

If you want the Heritage blend but only have 45–60 minutes, the Robusto is the answer. It delivers the full flavor statement in a compact format. Experienced smokers will appreciate the intensity; anyone newer to medium-full cigars should work up to this one. Our cigar strength guide can help gauge readiness. A rye whiskey or a dark roast coffee are natural pairings — their own assertive flavors can match the Heritage's spice. Track your smoke sessions and favorite pairings in the Casa DNC app. If you're curious how this stacks up against Honduran-made blends, try the Gurkha Rogue Tyrant for comparison.
