New WorldEverydayDunbarton Umbagog Corona Gorda
The Umbagog Corona Gorda stretches Saka's value Connecticut Broadleaf-Nicaraguan formula into a 6×48 corona gorda that delivers focused dark-wrapper character with a cooler, more precise draw than the broader Toro Toro.
Flavor profile
Sweet · Earthy · Spice · Roast
The Dunbarton Umbagog Corona Gorda is the slimmer long vitola in Saka's bundle-packaged value line — a 6 inches by 48 ring gauge corona gorda that takes the same Connecticut Broadleaf cosmetically-rejected-from-Mi-Querida wrapper philosophy and delivers it with the focused draw character that narrower formats are known for.
Umbagog uses Medium grade Connecticut Broadleaf wrappers that were visually rejected from the Mi Querida production run at NACSA in Estelí. The flavor profile of those wrappers is identical to Mi Querida-grade Broadleaf leaf — same farm, same harvest — but the appearance doesn't meet the cosmetic standard for box-pressed premium packaging. Saka's answer was to bundle them into Umbagog, which became the brand's most accessible price point.
The Corona Gorda at 6×48 occupies similar space to the Toro Toro (6×52) but rewards comparison: the four ring gauges of difference produce a noticeably cooler smoke with a tighter, more concentrated draw. Chocolate and cedar notes from the Broadleaf wrapper come through with more precision; black pepper from the Nicaraguan core reads as sharper and more defined. Smokers who prefer Lonsdale-style dimensions tend to favor the Corona Gorda over the broader Gordo Gordo in the same line.
Sold in bundles of ten in craft paper — no cedar box, no bands, no ceremony — Umbagog is the working cigar in the Dunbarton family. An excellent option for smoking through a humidor rotation without treating every session as an event.
