Flavor profile

Sweet · Roast · Earthy · Spice

The Camacho Triple Maduro earns its name honestly: every component, from wrapper to binder to filler, is a maduro leaf. That all-maduro construction is rare and hard to pull off, since deeply fermented tobacco can burn unevenly, but Camacho built a balanced, full-flavored cigar out of it. The Robusto is the everyday format.

What it tastes like

This is a rich, savory, medium-to-full smoke. The Mexican San Andres wrapper, Corojo maduro binder, and maduro fillers from Brazil, Honduras, and the Dominican Republic all push in the same dark direction: dark chocolate, espresso, earth, and a molasses-like sweetness, with enough black pepper to keep it lively. It's smooth for something this dark, thanks to the long fermentation.

Who it's for

If you love maduro and want it taken to the extreme, this is the cigar. It's a great example of the style — see our Maduro vs Connecticut note for how far it sits from a mild morning smoke. New maduro smokers may find it intense; the cigar strength guide helps you judge.
