The Petit Double Wide is the most popular size in the Long Live the King lineup — a 6 x 52 short Churchill that gives the blend room to breathe without turning into a long afternoon project. If you want to understand why cigar enthusiasts made Robert Caldwell's debut release a word-of-mouth hit, start here.

What it tastes like

Same all-Dominican Corojo wrapper and binder as the rest of the line, with filler built from Dominican Corojo Ligero, Peruvian Viso Pelo de Oro, and Nicaraguan Habano Ligero. In the wider ring gauge the smoke is denser and creamier than in the Heater — leather, dark chocolate, and cedar dominate the first third, pepper ramps up through the middle, and the final third delivers a rich buttery finish. It's medium-to-full throughout with no harsh edges. Built at Tabacalera William Ventura in Santiago, Dominican Republic.

Who it's for

The wider gauge and extra length (versus The Heater) give the blend more complexity and a longer finish, making this the better choice if you have an hour to commit. If you're comparing ring gauges, our guide to cigar strength and body explains what changes as the ring gets bigger. Pair with a single malt, a dark rum, or a straight espresso. Compare this to a Nicaraguan puro and the Dominican character really stands out — see our Dominican vs. Nicaraguan overview for context.
