Caldwell Blind Man's Bluff Toro

Caldwell Blind Man's Bluff Toro — a 6 x 52 Honduran-made toro that gives the Ecuadorian Habano blend an extra inch to develop walnut, cedar, and sweet spice.

Flavor profile

Earthy · Sweet · Balanced · Creamy

The Toro adds a full inch to the Robusto without changing the ring gauge, which in practice means more time in the sweet mid-section of the blend. Blind Man's Bluff is most interesting in that second half — where the sweet spice and walnut notes emerge — and the Toro gives you more of it.

What it tastes like

Identical blend to the Robusto: Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, Honduran Criollo binder, Dominican San Vicente Viso and Honduran Criollo Generoso Ligero filler. In the extra inch the cedar and bread from the opening gradually give way to a richer walnut and sweet spice profile. The cool, long finish that Blind Man's Bluff is known for is more pronounced here. Medium-to-full in body; a smooth, accomplished smoke. Handmade at Agroindustrias Laepe S.A. in Danlí, Honduras.

Who it's for

The Toro is the ideal format if you're sitting down with a drink and have ninety minutes. It's a Saturday-afternoon cigar — patient and rewarding rather than punchy and quick. If you're new to Honduran tobacco, this is a better introduction than the Magnum because the ring gauge is more manageable. Our regional tobacco comparison gives context on what makes Honduran leaf distinctive. Pair with a rye whiskey or a malty craft beer.
