Flavor profile

Creamy · Sweet · Earthy · Spice · Roast

Caldwell added the Connecticut variant to give Blind Man's Bluff a milder on-ramp. Same Honduran factory (Agroindustrias Laepe S.A.), same general structure, but swapping the Ecuadorian Habano wrapper for an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade changes the character entirely — from medium-full and earthy to mild-medium and creamy.

What it tastes like

Light tan, smooth Connecticut Shade wrapper from Ecuador over a Honduran binder and a Dominican-Honduran filler blend. The result is creamy and gentle — vanilla, cedar, and toasted nuts, with just enough mild pepper on the retrohale to keep things interesting. Mild-to-medium in strength, it builds only slightly toward the final third. This is an easy, well-constructed smoke that doesn't demand your full attention.

Who it's for

The BMB Connecticut is the cigar to hand someone who says they only smoke mild sticks but wants to try something a bit more interesting than a mass-market Connecticut. It's also a smart morning or early-afternoon option for more experienced smokers. Our Connecticut vs. Maduro comparison explains exactly what the wrapper difference means in the glass. If you want to understand how it stacks up in body and strength, check the cigar strength guide.

Pair with coffee or sparkling wine, and track your tasting notes in the Casa DNC app.
