RoMa Craft CroMagnon Aquitaine EMH

The Aquitaine is RoMa Craft Tobac's spicier, more intense variation on the original CroMagnon formula. Where the classic CroMagnon uses a Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper, the Aquitaine swaps in an Ecuadorian Habano Ligero — a wrapper known for its natural oils, reddish-brown hue, and peppery character. The binder and filler remain unchanged: Cameroon binder, three-region Nicaraguan filler from Estelí, Condega, and a small farm near the Honduran border. The EMH vitola is the flagship size for the Aquitaine.

What it tastes like

The Ecuador Habano Ligero wrapper changes the character considerably compared to the original. Where the Broadleaf version leans toward cocoa sweetness, the Aquitaine opens with bolder pepper and cedar notes, giving the first third a more assertive personality. The Cameroon binder bridges the gap — its natural sweetness softens the wrapper's aggression — while the Nicaraguan filler contributes dense, earthy tobacco notes. Into the second third, coffee, dried fruit, and toasty bread notes emerge. The finish is long and peppery. This is a full-bodied, full-strength smoke; construction is typically excellent.
