New WorldExperiencedPunch Gran Puro Santa Rita
An all-Honduran puro from the non-Cuban Punch line — a bold, earthy robusto under a dark Colorado-maduro wrapper grown in the San Agustin Valley.
Flavor profile
Earthy · Sweet · Roast · Spice
This is the New World Punch, made in Honduras by General Cigar — a completely different cigar from the Cuban brand that shares the name. The Gran Puro is an all-Honduran puro, and the Santa Rita is its robusto, 4.5 inches at a 52 ring gauge under a dark, oily Colorado-maduro wrapper.
What it tastes like
Being a true puro — wrapper, binder and filler all grown in Honduras — gives it a focused, rustic character. The extra-dark Havana-seed wrapper, developed specifically for this cigar in the San Agustin Valley, brings deep earth, cedar, dark cocoa, coffee and a solid hit of black pepper. It's a medium-full smoke with real backbone and a long, savory finish. The blend has earned a 93 rating and a spot on Cigar Aficionado's Top 25, so it punches well above its modest price.
Who it's for
This is for smokers who like a bold, earthy, no-frills cigar and don't need a long burn. It's a great value robusto. If you prefer something smoother from the same non-Cuban family, the Punch Rothschild is a gentler entry point.
