Padilla Miami 8 & 11 Robusto

The Miami 8 & 11 is the cigar that put Ernesto Padilla on the map, named after the streets in Miami where he first blended it. Through multiple factory changes over the years, the philosophy has stayed constant: all-Nicaraguan AGANORSA leaf, Corojo-forward, and uncompromising in construction. The 2020 re-release, produced at El Titan de Bronze, brought the blend back to its roots.

What it tastes like

This 5 x 50 opens with a hit of cedar and black pepper that announces itself clearly from the first draw. The Corojo wrapper from AGANORSA's Jalapa farms adds a dark, earthy backbone with leather running through the middle third. Spice stays lively but never overwhelming — there's a subtle sweetness on the retrohale that keeps things balanced. The finish is long and woody with a satisfying kick of dark pepper.
