Joya de Nicaragua · Cabinetta Serie
New WorldEverydayJoya de Nicaragua Cabinetta Serie Toro
A clever dual-wrapped toro: Ecuadorian Connecticut over most of the cigar, Nicaraguan Criollo on the foot. Smooth cocoa, cedar, and cream.
The Cabinetta Serie has one of the more distinctive constructions in Joya de Nicaragua's lineup: a dual-wrapper cigar. Most of the toro (6 x 52) wears a silky Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade leaf, while the last quarter near the foot is finished in darker Nicaraguan Habano Criollo, over fully aged Nicaraguan binder and filler.
What it tastes like
Smooth and complex for its weight: cocoa, cedar, cream, sweet wood, and a touch of pepper. The two-wrapper design means the profile shifts subtly as you smoke into the Criollo section, adding a little depth toward the end. It stays comfortably Mild-Medium, easy to enjoy but with more going on than a typical mild cigar.
Who it's for
A smart everyday pick for smokers who want something smooth but a bit more interesting than a straight Connecticut. The dual-wrapper trick makes it a fun talking point, and a great practical lesson in the maduro vs Connecticut comparison since you essentially get both in one cigar.
It's also a nice change of pace if you usually reach for the bolder Nicaraguan blends in the Cuban vs Nicaraguan cigars discussion. Pair it with coffee or aged rum, and rate it in your humidor with the Casa DNC app at casadnc.com.
