The Regalias d'Celia is the bold belicoso of E.P. Carrillo's La Historia line, named for Perez-Carrillo's wife's grandmother. At 5 7/8 x 58 with a tapered head, it is a wide, dramatic cigar wrapped in a mocha-colored Mexican San Andres maduro leaf.

What it tastes like

The blend mirrors the rest of La Historia: a San Andres maduro wrapper over an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder, with Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers. The thick ring gauge and pointed head concentrate the smoke into a rich, chewy draw full of cocoa, espresso, and mocha, anchored by leather and a steady black-pepper spice. Body lands medium-full, and the figurado shape rewards a careful light to get the burn even.

Who it's for

A great choice for experienced smokers who want a fat, flavor-forward maduro with a tapered head. If your belicoso lights tend to run hot, our how to cut a cigar guide covers getting a clean opening on a figurado.

Prefer a straight toro with the same blend? The E-III is the line's 6 7/8 x 54 flagship. Log it and rate it in the Casa DNC app.
