New WorldExperiencedDunbarton StillWell Star Aromatic No. 1
Aromatic No. 1 is the flagship StillWell Star blend — a collaboration with pipe tobacco master Jeremy Reeves (Cornell & Diehl), folding Black Cavendish, Golden Virginia, and Burley into a Nicaraguan core.
Flavor profile
Sweet · Earthy · Creamy
The Dunbarton StillWell Star Aromatic No. 1 is the result of a genuinely unusual collaboration: Steve Saka partnering with Jeremy Reeves, head blender at Cornell & Diehl (one of America's most respected pipe tobacco companies), to create what they market as "the world's first luxury pipe tobacco cigar." The entire StillWell Star line is built around this premise — each blend uses the same Ecuadorian Habano Grade A wrapper and Mexican San Andrés Negro (Cultivo Tonto) binder, but a different pipe tobacco component incorporated into the Nicaraguan filler.
Aromatic No. 1 is the accessible entry point: its pipe tobacco component is Black Cavendish, Golden Virginia, and Burley — the classic aromatic pipe tobacco combination. Black Cavendish adds the recognizable sweet, almost vanilla-like character that defines aromatic pipe tobacco blends; Golden Virginia contributes a golden hay and light fruit note; and Burley provides a mild earthiness and body. These are folded into Nicaraguan long-filler cigar tobacco and rolled at Joya de Nicaragua in Estelí.
One distinguishing feature of Aromatic No. 1: it carries a sweetened cap — the only regular-production StillWell Star blend to do so. The sweetened cabeza dulce adds a subtle candy note on the cold draw and first few puffs, bridging the cigar tobacco world and the pipe tobacco world through a single sensory cue.
The profile is mild-medium strength, making Aromatic No. 1 one of the most approachable cigars in the entire Dunbarton lineup. It occupies a genuinely unique niche: not a flavored cigar, not a traditional premium cigar, but a thoughtfully constructed hybrid of two craft traditions.
