General Cigar's all-Nicaraguan Cohiba — a dark, oily robusto rolled in Estelí with bold cocoa, espresso and pepper notes.
Flavor profile
Sweet · Roast · Earthy · Spice · Fruity
Cohiba Nicaragua is General Cigar's puro-leaning, full-flavored non-Cuban Cohiba, rolled at the STG Estelí factory in Nicaragua. The N-series names its sizes by ring gauge, so the N50 is the robusto. It's built mostly from Nicaraguan tobacco under a dark, toothy Honduran Jamastrán wrapper, and it's one of the bolder cigars in the non-Cuban Cohiba family.
What it tastes like
This is a medium-to-full smoke with a dark, rich profile: cocoa, espresso, and leather, with cedar, a white-pepper bite, and a hint of dried fruit. The oily oscuro wrapper adds depth and a touch of sweetness. It's more rugged and New World in character than the smooth Dominican Cohibas — closer in spirit to a classic Nicaraguan than to a Havana.
Who it's for
A solid pick for experienced smokers who like bold, Nicaraguan-style cigars. Pair it with an espresso, a bourbon, or an aged rum. Curious how Nicaraguan blends compare to Cuban ones? Our Cuban vs Nicaraguan guide is exactly that.
