The Coronas Gigantes is Bolívar's Churchill, and a cigar with real history — it was made before the Revolution and remains one of the longest formats in the brand. At seven inches and a 47 ring gauge in the Julieta No. 2 vitola, it's built for the long haul: two to three hours of dense, full-bodied smoke.

What it tastes like

This is unmistakably Bolívar — a thick, heavy smoke with a rich, almost acrid character of peat and double-roasted coffee, plus earth, leather, cocoa and a pinch of spice. The Churchill length lets the blend evolve over time, but it stays full from start to finish. It is not a cigar to hurry or to smoke without something in your stomach.

Who it's for

A connoisseur's Churchill, sought after the world over and best saved for an unhurried afternoon. If you're stepping up to a smoke this big, the how to cut a cigar guide helps, and Cuban vs Nicaraguan explains why this tastes so different from a New World seven-incher.

Pair it with a cognac, an aged rum, or espresso. Given the smoking time, it's worth logging your sessions in the Casa DNC app. For the same Cuban power in a shorter format, try the Royal Coronas.
