Bolivar Cofradia
New WorldExperiencedBolivar Cofradia Toro
The toro in General Cigar's non-Cuban Bolivar Cofradia line — a full-flavored Honduran smoke of leather, earth and oak with extra length.
The Cofradia Toro is the longer companion to the Cofradia Robusto in General Cigar's non-Cuban Bolivar line. It's important not to confuse this with the Cuban Bolívar: outside of Cuba the trademark is General Cigar's, and the Cofradia is a separate Honduran blend built by master blender Estélo Padrón at the HATSA factory in Danlí.
What it tastes like
Same blend, more cigar. An Ecuador Sumatra-seed wrapper and Connecticut Broadleaf binder sit over Honduran and Nicaraguan long fillers, giving a bold, full-flavored profile: leather, earth and oak, a peppery edge, and a hint of sweetness. At six inches by 54, the toro stretches the experience past 75 minutes and lets the flavors settle into a steady groove.
Who it's for
A great value pick for experienced smokers who want a longer, full-bodied New World cigar. If your reference point is the Cuban Bolívar, this is an instructive contrast — read Cuban vs Nicaraguan to see why the two taste so different despite the shared name.
Pair it with a bourbon, a coffee, or a stout. Log it in the Casa DNC app to keep your Cuban and non-Cuban Bolivars straight. For a richer, broadleaf-wrapped spin on this collaboration, see the Cofradia Lost & Found EMS.
