Flavor profile

Earthy · Roast · Spice · Sweet

Few small cigars have a following like the Hemingway Short Story. It's a stubby, double-tapered perfecto — barely four inches — but the flavor it delivers is the reason it sells out at shops constantly.

What it tastes like

The Cameroon wrapper is the star here: a little toothy, faintly sweet, with that signature cedar-and-toasted-nut character and a dusting of cinnamon spice. It's a balanced medium-bodied smoke, never harsh, with just enough complexity to keep you interested for the whole 30 to 45 minutes. The pointed foot starts things narrow and focused before opening up.

Who it's for

This is a fantastic everyday cigar and an easy introduction to figurado (shaped) cigars. It's approachable enough for a newer smoker who's past the mildest sticks, yet refined enough that veterans keep a box around for when they don't have an hour to spare. If you like this leaf, the larger Hemingway Signature is the same blend with more time to develop.

Cameroon sits in an interesting place between mild Connecticut and dark Maduro — our Maduro vs Connecticut guide explains the wrapper spectrum. New to perfectos? See how to cut a cigar, since the tapered head needs a careful clip. Log your first one in your humidor with the Casa DNC app.
