The Aging Room Quattro Original Maestro is the flagship expression of the Quattro Original line (formerly F55), presented in a distinctive box-pressed torpedo format at 6 × 52. Jochy Blanco's rollers at Tabacalera La Palma in Santiago, Dominican Republic shape each cigar by hand, and the box press is applied during the resting stage, giving the Maestro its signature squared profile.

An aged Sumatra wrapper — some leaves spending nearly a decade in aging rooms before rolling — delivers a silky, slightly sweet exterior. Dominican binder and Cuban-seed Dominican fillers produce a smooth medium-bodied core with notes of coffee, leather, and cedar cream. The tapered torpedo head fine-tunes the draw and focuses flavor as you work through the first third, opening into earthy complexity and a warm, lingering finish.

The Quattro Original was the cigar that introduced Rafael Nodal's Boutique Blends philosophy to the world: prioritize aging, prioritize terroir, and never rush the process. At medium strength it's suitable for everyday enjoyment without palate fatigue. Compare this Dominican approach to Nicaraguan or Cuban profiles to understand what sets island-grown Dominican tobacco apart. Keep your tasting notes organized on Casa DNC. Before lighting, brush up on how to cut a torpedo for the cleanest draw.
