The Punch Margaritas is a thin, elegant little Havana from the brand's classic range. A small panetela — 4.75 inches at a slim 26 ring gauge, officially the Carolina vitola — it was discontinued in 2009 but remains a charming example of the delicate, skinny cigars that used to be far more common.

What it tastes like

Thin cigars smoke hotter and faster, so the Margaritas is a brisk, lighter experience. The all-Cuban blend leans cedary and grassy, with fresh hay, cream and a clean tobacco sweetness. It's medium in strength but reads gentler thanks to the narrow gauge, and it's done in around 25 to 30 minutes. There's a certain old-world elegance to a cigar this slender.

Who it's for

This is a quick, refined smoke for a coffee break — and, being discontinued, a bit of a nostalgic find. Slim panetelas aren't for everyone, but they have real character. For a current small Havana with a fuller draw, the tubed Punch Petit Coronations is an easy substitute.
